I've read a few threads here pertaining to the Jeep issues and them stalling but some go on for pages and pages and seem to be a little different to the problem I am having.
Basically, about a month ago my Jeep has been having ignition issues where it won't start. To be more specific, sometimes (mostly after say driving somewhere and coming to drive home after leaving it for a few hours) it won't start properly and I have to ram the accelerator pedal to get it going. I took it to the mechanic today and they replaced the air and fuel filters but that did nothing to help it. What I find strange is that sometimes it will start for a half second or so then die then it will whir over and over if you try and start it afterward until you ram the accelerator. When I get the car started that way, it also tends to overrev for the time that I drive it, but it will drive fine and it won't stall like I have read in other threads.
I don't really know much about cars, but now that I spent money to try and get the problem fixed and they didn't fix it, I thought I would see if I could find some help on the net and see if someone else had the same problem. Unfortunately it seems that many people are having these problems but there seem to be few solutions.
But, if anyone can help or have an idea or where to start, please let me know.
