Question

Java/Jar file from DVD?

May 4, 2017 5:45AM PDT

I'm having a problem with running a .jar from a .exe from a DVD for my boss.
It seems that when I try to extract to the PC, I get an error message that says I can't run the .jar file and doesn't let me extract anything.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Java but no luck.

Any ideas?

What does work?

Does it work from a memory stick or from the HDD?

Remember to remove the RO flag from the file if you copy it off the DVD.

- "Running a .jar file from a .exe" is strange.
- Getting a message about "running a .jar file" when you try to "extract" something (what from what?) is strange also.
So more detail please, and more understandable.

And why not ask your boss how he does it, or where the instruction from the maker is?
