Unluckily, the poster didn't yet tell us his results in a newly created account. Maybe you can do?
I wonder if anyone can help me. I have 2 accounts on my XP computer and use IE as the browser. One one account web pages load fine, on the other account, when I view a web page which uses Java, I get either nothing or 'Java is not enabled' message. I have gone into Tools>Internet Options>Security settings to check that Java is enabled and also Security to check that scripting is enabled-in fact, I have the same settings for both accounts yet one runs and the other doesn't. Anyone got any ideas please
Hi, I hope you saw my earlier message. Bottom line, I tried everything you suggested and IE on my 2nd account still won't run Java and my account on the PC is fine. Mozilla on both accounts seems fine so that seems to isolate the issue to IE on the 2nd account?
One new problem I see today is that on the 2nd account using Outlook Express, when I try to print a mail I get the error::
Internet Explorer Script Issue. An error has occurred in the Script on this page'-so I can't now print from OE?
One interesting thing I have noticed is that when I look in Tools>Internet Options>Manage Add ons, in the account which is working with IE I see Shockwave listed in the 'Addons currently loaded in IE list'. On the 2nd account, Shockwave is not listed in the 'currently loaded list although it is listed in the 'Add ons which have been used by IE' list. It is enabled in that list however??
OK, thanks. So, its a good clue to what's amiss. Any idea then how I can get Shockwave to be showing in tHe list of IE currently used Add Ons. I have uninstalled Shockwave and reinstalled and that doesn't load it for the 2nd account although its fine for the first account on my PC.
