Java updates- how many should i keep ?

Sep 24, 2006 10:23AM PDT

I am running windows xp on a dell dimension using ie 6 and firefox to surf the web.I have a 1.8 celeron proc and 768 mb of ram. I noticed the other day I have Java standard runtime V1.3.1_04 I also have update 1 and update 2 and update 6 Together these updates take almost 390 mb of space. Do I need to keep all of all the updates or can I uninstall the older ones, and keep only update 6. I am a little confused about what I need and dont need. Thanks for any help. Bill Wegman

You can uninstall the previous versions and just keep J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6. The others are simply taking up space.
