General discussion

Java and Open Office.

Sep 9, 2004 5:03AM PDT

I recently installed Open Office on my computer. Before installation it asks to associate with Java files.
Winxp doesn't seem to come with Java. I did notice a folder labeled Java in Windows, but it is empty. It states that Java is necessary for all of the features in the program to work properly.
I have googled and found several sites with Java downloads, but I'm uncertain as to which one would be appropriate for this program.
Can someone with experience please advise which is best?
Thanks

I didn't take the option and Open Office still works.

Your choice to download and install SUN's JAVA.
