It's funny, but in dim light, when you can't see how Red it is, it looks like a prop from early 60s scifi. It makes a great conversation piece as a post-modern antique, kind of a Jetson-esque stereo-opticon. It's also handy when company stays too long. Misadjust the stereo slightly to induce headaches in your guests and compel them to go home
Just be sure you're well stocked on batteries!
For the record, the virtual boy is not the oddest thing on my back shelf, that would probably be the Toshiba CED (grooved vinyl) Videodisc player(s) - don't ask.
