Ram air filter?
by Steven Haninger / February 10, 2018 8:22 AM PST

Explain what you mean by that. Long ago with carburetted engines folks would remove the standard air filter and replace it with one that promised better flow. Sometimes this meant creating an opening in the hood that allowed air to be forced into the intake as velocity increased. Is this something like what you've done? Now, if you've needed to defeat any of the vacuum sensing devices, your problem is easy to understand. You can't do that without reprogramming your engines computer system. Help means you put it back to the way the manufacturer intended.

Hi, Gray; Are you referring to a K & N cold air system? Both Steven and James are correct. If the Honda has a MAF system, it HAS to be in use regardless of any mods. Seriously, the only benefit these expensive kits give you is that you don't have to replace the air filters. Just service them. So, after about 20 yrs, the system pays for itself. Sorry.
