Question

I've got a question about my pc's cpu speed

Mar 30, 2018 4:04PM PDT

hello and thank you for reading this,

so I always open task manager in case an unnecessary app opens then I can close it, then after that I go to performance and cpu and it always says that the cpu speed is 2.47 GHz and is always at 100%(it never goes down even after being used for a long time), but it also says that the cpu maximum speed is 1.60 GHz, so I really want to know why does it say that the cpu is at 2.47 GHz when the maximum speed is 1.60 GHz?

my pc is a intel all in one pc
-CPU= intel celeron j3060 1.60 GHz processor
-intel integrated graphics
-4gb of ddr3l ram

Answer
Intel does document the j3060 to go to that speed.

I don't know what NT kernel and system is

well, I opened resource monitor(since I didn't know how to sort the task list) and found that google chrome(my main browser) appears a bunch of times.

the highest app is something called system and its description says NT Kernel and system with about 25% usage, the second highest is google chrome with 16% usage and the third highest is steam with about 9-10% , while the cpu usage a whole is 155% usage

As it stands

It's just a busy machine. It could be something else but Steam does that when backing up, syncing, getting a new game etc.

Chrome is also not a light browser anymore. Unless there are more clues I'd leave it alone.
