since I downloaded the most recent version of iTunes it won't automatically sync with my iPod. Also, my playlists were lost. They are still on my iPod but no longer in iTunes. Can anyone help?

Answer
Maybe not.

If you didn't backup your stuff then maybe not. Did you look at iRip? (see google folk.)

There are many prior discussions about iTunes autosync settings. Because folk may have more than one PC/Apple the autosync appears to have been turned off. Folk were automatically syncing and then complaining about it.
