Question

iTunes will not start

Sep 22, 2012 6:53AM PDT

iTunes had been working perfectly for me for a while now, but when I booted up my computer today and tried to run it, it would not start. The little circle next to the pointer would spin for a few seconds and then stop. Then nothing would happen. I can right click iTunes and run it as admin, and it will run. But it will only play some songs and will not allow me to add any new songs to my library.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, cleaning the registry, etc. but nothing has worked.

I am running Windows 7 64-bit

I got an error that reads "A later version of iTunes is already installed on this computer." when I attempt to install the update from the link you provided.
