iTunes upgrade 9.0.2(25) upgrade on OS 10.5.8

by Jim Lines / February 6, 2010 1:21 AM PST

This upgrade sent out 5th/6th February 2010 has caused my family's iPods and my AppleTV to disconnect from the iTunes library and demand a return to factory settings for all units. Still have not got any of them to sync with the library or reload the back-up settings in the case of the iPods

I am running a MacBook Pro 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4GB memory

Anyone got any good ideas ?

No, but I see this morning that update 9.0.3 has been released.

I eventually had the iPods reload, but I cannot get through the firewall to the AppleTV. I have a DHCP server on my router and a secondary router with a fixed IP serving the rest of the building with a wireless signal using a WEP Hex password. The AppleTV can connect to the internet through this, but I cannot stream to the AppleTV.

iTunes upgrade 9.0.2(25) or 9.0.3
by Jim Lines / February 6, 2010 2:10 PM PST

I now realise the update that came down yesterday was 9.0.3, but it didn't update the programme completely, as a consequence the "about iTunes" version reads 9.0.2(25) but should read 9.0.3. The version still wants to upgrade but then says there is nothing to upgrade. I will attempt to load the full 9.0.3 from Apple and see if this repairs the streaming problem.

downloaded full 9.0.3 version

having downloaded the full version and installed it to overwrite the older one, the connection has been restored with no more firewall objections.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
