iTunes Phone Driver

just installed iTunes 7 for Mac that i downloaded from apple and when i reached the final screen i clicked on "Customize" just outta curiosity and lo n behold... theres an option for "iTunes Phone Driver" thats grayed out...

here's a screenshot. i'll leave you to rumorize about it...

It's been in iTunes since 4.9

I just opened a document entitled iTunesPhoneDriver (spotlight it on a Mac) and clicked continue install and it said it was part of iTunes 4.9. So, the driver has been along for at least that long. I dunno if it's dealing with the iPhone
