Question

iTunes on my Windows laptop will not recognize my iPhone

Feb 3, 2014 11:02AM PST

Thanks in advance! I have been troubleshooting to no avail.

all of a sudden, my iTunes will not recognize my iPhone 4 (a fairly new iPhone 4). It WILL however charge. AND my laptop DOES recognize the iPhone. I even get a windows "pop-up" when I plug in the phone...just no automatic tab in iTunes- which was happening just fine since I got the phone in December.

All of my programs are up to date. I have checked cords, changed usb outlets, tried many of the things suggested in Google searches. THANKS!

....tried to contact Apple for support ?? Strange issue to say the least. My first thought is that you may have to an iPhone restore, but you could lose data if you do so.

That has also worked for me on occasion.
