ITunes:new version install?

Aug 12, 2005 4:02AM PDT

ITunes has a new version out. Must I uninstall the old before installing the new? Or can I download the new on top of old?

p.s. I never know the answer to this question. Is it always better simply to uninstall the old before installing any new version?

The iTunes installer will take care of all that for you. If it is necessary to uninstall first, the installer will do it for you.

Any help

Your second question. It is NOT better to uninstall first.

Uninstalls build up debris which slows Windows. Try to avoid these. If the new software requires you to do an uninstall, it should tell you that before installing. That is why many do the uninstall themselves if necessary.
