Question

iTunes music erased - how do I upload back from iPod?

Sep 4, 2015 2:34AM PDT

My iTunes music library was erased recently. I spoke to Apple and they tried to find it (searching previous iTunes libraries etc) but couldn't. When I asked how I could upload the music from my iPod (music that I spent hours and hours loading from my CD collection!!) they said it wasn't possible - but surely it can be done?
Can anyone help please

ipod to iTunes

Hi, thanks for this help. But it's not a case of not backing it up - I have uploaded all the music on my iPod onto my computer - but I don't then seem to be able to get the tracks into iTunes.
Or are you saying that I should have backed up iTunes (didn't know you could).

Thanks

Geoff

I'd try again but with IRIP.

Be sure to read the IRIP instructions.

And again, the backup/restore you listed is nothing like what Apple writes about backup of an iTunes library and content. So this is again another case where folk didn't backup. The iPod is not the backup.

Try IRIP found like Kees noted and read before using. I don't duplicate their instructions in case I type it in wrong here.
