iTunes Missing Files?

Aug 11, 2010 6:56AM PDT

Hello, yesterday, I might have broke my iPod. When I went to Future Shop one of the employees told me to plug it into the computer to see if it would charge. Thing is, i'm not at my usual location, i'm somewhere where iTunes has been acting stupid.

I tried installing the newest version, but it said that there was already another version of iTunes installed. When I tried to open the version it already had, it said that it was missing some of the files needed for it to work. When I tried deleting it; it claimed I couldn't delete it because it claimed that it didn't exist... even though I just hit Delete. It won't let me install if I don't get rid of it, and I only have less than an hour to do so... and i'm not taking anything apart.

What the heck am I supposed to do?

You are going to have to do a hard re-boot of your ipod. and an uninstall of the itunes. then reinstall both.

I can't uninstall iTunes, it wont let me, and i'm pretty sure hard reboot isn't used on Nanos.
