is it possible to just uninstall iTunes and reinstall? Or does that lose all my music?
However, I would make a copy of the iTunes library before you do that
Right click and drag the entire iTunes library to another location on your HD.
I am running a Windows 7 64bit computer with the latest iTunes version (10.6). The problem of perpetual opening of iTunes seems to be related to media keyboards. I have a Logitech G510 keyboard. A few iTunes versions ago, iTunes did not recognize media button inputs from my keyboard. Recent iTunes updates have corrected this, however the keyboard now puts iTunes into a "goofy loop" on closing. When I disable my keyboard profile iTunes stops the cycle.
Hope this helps
