Question

Itunes download corrupts my DVD

Nov 22, 2012 4:38PM PST

Pls Help,

When downloading Itunes onto my new laptop it corrupted the drivers on my DVD so that I got an error 39 for the DVD RW drive. I had to do a system restore to take it back to before the itunes download in order to get my DVD working again.

I'd still like to download Itunes but i'm nervous about it happening again.

Any advice???

Answer
CODE 39 (and 19 and others) are well discussed.

The only time I've seen this is when folk have some odd driver install. The stock Windows drivers seem fine but mix it up with other DVD drivers and you can see the mess.

PS. CODE 39 is again, well discussed and does not require use of System Restore to fix.
