iTunes Audio Quality

Dec 1, 2005 8:45AM PST

Why wont Apple increase the audio quality of tracks purchased from ITMS? I know that Apple does things their own way but still, 128 kbps is too low especially when I can go to allofmp3.com and pay a few cents to get the same songs at ANY quality or format.

what?

Apple sells tracks at 128 AAC, which means that it is the same quality of 192 mp3 but using less space. At this quality, it's very hard to hear the difference compared to cd quality, unless you have reaaly good headphones or really big ears or something.
allofmp3.com is based in RUSSIA, where copyright laws allow them to but songs on the web and sell them to RUSSIAN citizens. So technically, if you're not from russia, its illegal to download from that site.

Go ahead with your stupid logic. I made my point that it doesnt matter how AAC 128 kps sounds compared to MP3 but Apple should at least increase audio quality to 160 kps or at give customers a choice of audio quality. Until Apple does that I'am going to allofmp3.com and paying for the convience of getting any format or quality at dirt cheap prices.

Didn't you know? Father knows best. Ooops! I meant Jobs.

The Apple faithful are supposed to accept, without question, anything Jobs dispenses.
