iTunes 7 refuses to install no matter what I do

by mcosborne / May 3, 2007 1:24 PM PDT

I just bought a new ipod video 30 gb. Whenver I try to install iTunes 7 it stops at the end of the installation and says "Could not open key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Classes/.m4a/OpenWithList. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key." and I can't figure out what to do. Please help me with my problem:(

Help

Ok, I've been looking through regedit and .mp4\openwithlist is locked or something. I can't change the permissions for it and it won't let me see anything.

While a well known problem.

You didn't elaborate about the attempted permissions change. Such as what tool you used, your account and... details. As such I can't see what step you did wrong.

Sorry I skipped the Apple document about changing it since you seem to know that.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
