General discussion

Itunes

I am running WinXP on my compter. I have recently put my music into itunes. When I look at my music on itunes, it has tracks listed seperatly instead of all listed as the same album. Why does it do this and how can I fix it. I don't know if it makes a difference later when I put the music on my ipod, but it is a bother to look at.

This is just a shot in the dark but,

Notice across the top of the library window you can see the column headers; Name, Genre, Time, Artist, Album or whatever else you want to see in there

Try clicking on the word Album at the top of the Album column and it will all get sorted by Album.
If you do not see the Album column, go to the menu bar and choose "View Options" and then select Album as one of the columns you wish to display

As you are dealing with the Windows version of iTunes, this option may be in a different place.

As an aside, even though Apple wrote the software for iTunes, that does not make your version of iTunes a piece of Mac Software.

I'll confirm the placing of the view options when I get to work

I just checked the placement of the View Options menu and it is where I said it was.

Of course, if this is not your problem, let us know

Sort Of...

When I am under "list view" it works fine. The problem is when I am in "album view", where it has a pic of the album cover down the left hand side. When it is in theis view mode, iTunes splits some of the albums in to two or three sets. Example, Colbie Caillat's album Coco is split into five sections. All the songs are represented somewhere within the five sets. The album artwork is the same for all five sets. This is more of an bothersome prolem, rather than a "my program is about to crash" problem.
