iTMS Rentals + Front Row

by tleMega / March 29, 2008 10:14 AM PDT

I have noticed that Front Row does not have the ability to play rented movies. This is a bit of a disappointment.

One thing I noticed is the first movie I rented was automatically placed in a new category entitled "Rented Movies". iTunes is right to do this, but I think the problem is that Front Row has not been updated to incorporate this new category, unlike the "Take 2" Apple TV software. On the Apple Discussions pages, I saw one discussion about this, and some of the posters mentioned renting from Front Row and a possibility of renting in HD like the Apple TV, supposing I interpreted that correctly. I could care less if the Apple TV retained the ability to rent movies, and in HD, through its Front Row-like UI. I would much prefer to just have the ability to watch these movies in Front Row itself, and I am hoping that the recently seeded 5.3 update, or a Front Row update, will add this feature in. Anyone agree? Being able to use Front Row for rented movies would be convenient, especially if you would prefer to use the Apple Remote for navigating to/watching a movie rather than a keyboard and mouse.

The Samsung RF23M8090SG

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
