It takes a whole damn day to charge my portable power bank

It's the Xiaomi 10400 mAh portable power bank,
and it has been this way since day one.

Anyone else experiencing the sme thing with your power bank?

That's a big power bank so to not overtax USB power ports or cause shortened battery life or fires they often make it charge slowly. My power bank is a fraction of the size so that's part of the story.
