XP has a 127GB limitation so nothing looks amiss here. Many learn this by doing exactly what you did.
Bob
I collect used hard drives for external storage. These are mostly Seagate and currently I am gathering 7200 RPM 3.5 PATA IDE drives.
The connector is All In 1 HDD Docking. The Format Utility is HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool. Also, I have SeaTools For Windows. I used a Windows XP to format the hard drives.
It was already formatted in NTFS but I am using these hard drives as external storage. I prefer the FAT 32 format because it is the same format used for USB Sticks and SD Cards. So that is why I formatted it.
It says the capacity is 186 GB BUT it says there is USED SPACE?! So the "Free Space" is 130 GB.
There is absolutely nothing on this hard drive. I must not lose almost 100 GB on a 200 GB hard drive.
Currently I am on the Long Generic test with SeaTools. All the other tests passed.
