General discussion

It seems we only like positive reviews for software here

Mar 15, 2010 4:46AM PDT

I wrote a review about a program (Movienizer) approximately 4 days ago.
In it I:
Did not use a single 4-letter word.
Did not provide hack/crack/serial/etc.
Did not write anything illegal/untruthful.

I did however, say that I would never download it, and why.
Today I logged in to see if anyone else had said anything.
My review has been "disappeared".

There is the one review remaining, it of course is a positive one, and probably written by the software company itself.
Could they have "reported" my post as offensive and it got trashed without being read by the trash person?
What would be the point of reviewing, if the company that wrote the program can trash any review it doesn't like?
ManiacTools played dirty, and they deserved the review I gave them.

Forum posts however are not listed. One is not the other.

Your review is still there...

Movienizer has been updated to a new version, and, by default, only the reviews for the current version are displayed as previous reviews may no longer apply after the bug fixes, functionality changes, etc. You can, however, click "All versions" to view reviews of old versions of the program, which includes your own.

Hope this helps,
John

I see what happened now, but you see why it looked strange to me I hope.
I mean, what are the chances that a new version comes out the day after I post a review? LOL
Cheers
Mr.S.

(I still won't d/l any software from them, "fool me once-fool me twice" and all that.)
