It's Spring Time in the Rockies.
It's mid-April, and down here in the Valley, I mowed the grass
under a bright sun and blue sky with temps in the 70's.
I looked northeast to the southern Sacramento Mountains, and
there stood Sierra Blanca about 40 miles away, in all her glory at 12,000 ft elevation.
I looked west to the San Andres Mountains, and there at the base
stretched the Dune Fields about 60 miles away, of the White Sands National Monument.
And in this quiet solitude, there is no hint of the hassels of a
big city. No traffic, no crowds, no air quality concerns, and we're
far enough out in the boonies not to be bothered by the traveling
snake oil salesmen (politicians).
Yep, it's Springtime in the Rockies, where the birds sing all day.
