It has hit the fan...

by Willy / January 25, 2017 10:25 AM PST

Already Trmup has jumped on his campaign promises. Making America great is more about making "corporate America" great. The pipelines being one thing. He has already placed a hiring freeze on federal employees and some in the process of coming employed, like VA hires, etc.. Since this effects all federal employees that's a broad stroke of the brush.

Also, restricting funding to EPA/groups as a whole seems like this part of the govt. to work and not others, which is empowered to protect the people as a whole. You take your hint from this it's not going to be a smooth ride for us *all*. -----Willy Happy

Yep. You can't repair the bus

while it's speeding down the highway. Nor can you transfer the passengers to a new one either. You need to stop it, troubleshoot it and fix what can be fixed and replace what can be replaced. Some passengers will be more inconvenienced than others and they'll be the one's to complain the loudest. Yes...it's going to hurt but you're going to feel so much better when they yank the arrow from your chest. Happy

The reason the freeze failed

during Carter and Reagan was because the Federal Unions disallowed any firing to go on for ineffective or duplicated employees which would have reduced the cost of government if that had gone hand in hand with the freeze. Once you can get rid of the corrupt 'swamp' in various depts., you can then hire motivated workers who perform the jobs they were hired to do. Plus many of the 'old timers' will retire now and perhaps never be replaced because their job was duplicated somewhere else or they will be forced into early retirement because they are just flat out ineffectual at the job they are supposed to be doing. New dept heads will find these things out quickly and fix it. That's what they got appointed to do during the nomination process by Trump.....get rid of the drag and drain on the taxpayer....nobody will get a 'free ride' anymore just because they belong to a union. He's already fired two VA employees for corruption just yesterday. I don't think their unions will be able to protect them or anybody else anymore.

nobody will get a 'free ride' anymore just because they belong to a union.

I was in the union for 40 years....NEVER saw a CEO at a Union meeting.

IF you're "not sure" ......then The Union extends to Puerto Rico.

Yeah, ok....
by TONI H / January 26, 2017 11:48 AM PST

But if that's the case, then the Union isn't helping either one of them, finally.

Yeah, ok...But if that's the case,

When someone says "Yeah, ok"...the NEXT word shouldn't be "but"

When YOU say "Yeah ok"...It IS the case.

I say that TIC, because every southern state would love to have the same deal I think.
