It appears prices continue to drop....

Watching the KDS-55A2020 waiting for the right moment to strike....

Saw BB at 1999 and CC at 1799; Then BB dropped to 1795, then back up to 2069, and CC dropped to 1699. BB is back to 1799 but I imagine they'll PM to CC's 1699. Wow.

Really, do you think the mainstream retailers are going to drop the price much more?

I'm sure there is a web retailer somewhere cheaper but I'm trying to avoid the outfits with colorful reputations and I'm not entirely sure exactly who they are.

Why just ask for trouble?

Shopping lowest possible price for good just superceded models is a crap shoot. Seldom is info volunteered as to quantity remaining, or upcoming price changes.

Good quality things don't linger long at respectable markdowns. A clearance price, when legit, is to clear the merchandise.

You want it? Don't wait too long. Satisfaction is more important than lowest possible price.

Sounds like good advice and .....

.... going into this some time ago I thought I was going to have to pay $3k to $3.5K for a set I would be satisfied with.

So $1699 look very good frankly. I've spent more on a computer with less thought. Funny how that works.

Rollbar, aka Gary. If you do go listen to good alternatives

you could find high level temptation leading to who knows what. An audiophile type attitude can be addictive. I know from experience.

Anyway, go find something nice so that you will have much enjoyment.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
