iSub non-longer working ever since 10.4

May 21, 2010 5:09AM PDT

My iSub subwoofer worked very well on my iMac until 10.4. Then Apple without warning deleted the driver. It hasn?t work since. Yesterday I called Apple care for help. They claim that it is ?old technology.? Yet the Apple store still sells the Soundsticks that include the subwoofer that when sold alone was called the iSub.
Today I called Apple again and the answer was that the iSub is ?incompatible technology.? This brush off is not even strange. What do you think?
How can I make the iSub work again? The sound preference interface today lacks the slider it used to have for the bass

Not good enough!

Even if you could have a work around it would not be enough because the driver is non-longer available. The driver gave you a slide to adjust the level of the iSub output.
I gave up and bought a Soundstick II. I am now in hog's heaven. Fantastic sound!
