Question

Issues with Graphics card

Sep 20, 2017 11:29PM PDT

I bought a brand new MSI GTX 1050 Ti Nvidia graphics card around 3 months ago. After using it for only 2 months, it kind of just stopped working. And no matter whatever I tried, it just wouldn't work. Fortunately, it came with a 3 year warranty period, and I'll receive a new or repaired piece anyday now. But I'm still not sure what caused the issue in the first place.
Can anyone help?

There's nothing here to use for forensics.

They don't repair these short of a new fan. The only reason I've seen 1050's stop is the host PC had a subpar PSU.

I made sure to install the best PSU in my system. I don't remember the exact features, but it had cooling features and could provide adequate voltage.

The 1050 doesn't pull a lot of power

In comparison to a lot of cards but still I want to see a single +12V rail and 50% more Watts that peak power.

Parts fail.
You'll see a higher % of this at the beginning of life and the end of life.
It's why you have a warranty.
Maker's of these parts expect some % to fail early.
