Question

Issue with Samsung 75inch (UE75HU7500)

Dec 28, 2014 6:21PM PST

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help me out. I've recently purchased a SAMSUNG - UE75HU7500 4k 75" LED TV and everything appeared to be going well. However I noticed some flickering when playing my game consoles, the screen jumps vertically a couple of pixels and for a split second. It is hard to spot when things are in motion but very obvious when on a static screen. Initially I thought it was my HDMi lead but it does it on my PS4, Xbox ONE and Wii U which are all connected to different HDMi ports.

After a bit of playing I've discovered it only does it when using screen fit mode. Has anyone else experienced this?

Many thanks in advance.

If Samsung can't fix it (probably a firmware issue), I'd consider to return the TV and buy one that doesn't.

I also have a 65inch Samsung which doesn't do it. I find it very odd that it only does it when using screen fit mode which leads me to think the panel is OK and more of a firmware issue. The image is good apart from the annoying flicker (its actually more of a jump).

Then a decision has to be made.

Ask Samsung when it will be fixed and if they can't fix it inside your return period, decide to keep or not. I find that if we keep defective things their drive or reason to fix it is reduced.
