Issue with Kaspersky Anti-Virus Perosnal 5.0

by FMCook / August 21, 2007 11:02 AM PDT

I need to update the license because it has expired. When I click the link in the program, it tells me to upgrade to version 7.0 and just enter the expired ".KEY" file. But this doesn't work, as my edition of Kaspersky 5.0 came with System Mechanic 6 by Iolo. (Thank god that Iolo carries ISOs of every CD-ROM they've ever made! I would never have restored my computer without the ISO!)

Here's my question:

Where can I buy a new license key (the ".KEY" file is the license key) that works on Kaspersky personal 5.0 WITHOUT upgrading to 7.0?

I decided to just get rid of it. I run Avast Free Edition now.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
