Issue with fixing blue screen of death.

Mar 14, 2017 4:29AM PDT

So I have a blue screen of death on my windows 10. I have installed windows 10 on my USB. It's plugged in, turn on my pc, press f11 (on my pc) for boot menu then I have a choice of different ACHI, USB and one UEFI. I select my USB with windows 10 on it. And I RETURN TO THAT STUPID BLUE SCREEN AGAIN SHOWING ME THAT I HAVE MISSING OR AN ERROR WITH BOOT CONFIGURATION DATA!!!. Please help me!

Something off there.

You write you installed W10 to USB but only a very special version does that. (You didn't write that version here.)

Also, if you mean you made the W10 install USB stick with the Microsoft Media Creation Kit, you didn't write that either.

As it stands you need to clear up what you have here.

UEFI only works for installed hard drives

BIOS or now called CSM will work with external boot drives, but windows has NEVER booted successfully for home users from an external drive. Stick the drive in the computer itself, try it again. I suspect you are moving a drive from one computer to another and if they are OEM, that also won't work out well for you.

If you need emergency use of a computer till you get windows loaded for the computer you are using, you can boot a Linux version such as Mint, Ubuntu, Zorin (most popular ones) from a DVD or USB and use that in the interim.

Reboot device

I don't know what you mean.

My advice is you need to choose the USB as the reboot device when you install the windows 10 with USB flash drive.

And after you installed the WIndows 10 in hard drive, you need to plug out the usb drive. Of course you can reset the reboot device as hard drive.

So I am not know the blue screen is occured when you reboot in USB flash drive or after installed reboot from hard drive.
