Issue with Drivers/SP

Hi guys,

I just Reformatted my Dell Inspiron 1150 Laptop, with Windows XP Professional, and now need to download the drivers off the dell support page, which is easy enough, except i can't run the drivers because it says i need a newer service pack. I have never updated the service pack and in 'winver' it does not even mention the service pack. So, what do i have to do to get to a newer/current service pack? Can i go straight to SP3, or do i have to get SP2 first?

Just what version of Win XP Pro are you using now? If SP1 is part of it, you can go direct to SP3. I actually have not had to work with an install that did not have SP1 integrated, as I always did that first if it was not.
If you right click on "My Computer" and then pick "Properties" it will show you what is on the computer. Or it may say on the reinstall disk from Dell.
