IMHO, I like to have anti-spyware installed on my PC. Also, I do not like either Norton or McAfee. They do not play well with others and they are space-hogs which are not any better than the free AV's you can get from several websites, like infostar.com or majorgeeks.com. I know it is a "given" that you should not run more than one AV program at a time on your PC, but I have used two at a time for several years now without a problem. Just so one of them is NOT Norton or McAfee! I guess my philosophy is that different programs use different algorithms and the more, the merrier! So far, so good!
I run ZoneLabs Security Suite with AVG. My other (Win9![]()
PC runs BitDefender and AVG.
I have been using Norton antivirus for many years and I renew my subscription every year for about $30.
My ISP (Comcast) offers Mcafee VirusScan on line for no extra fee. I was wondering if you are aware of any diffrences between the software version you pay for or the ones provided free from ISP?s
