ISP says we are getting best signal of anyone on their serv

service but our 2 computer's are no faster than dialup.

I don't understand the reports the ISP is giving me but I am hoping someone here will. I will give you some figures that were sent to us but basically, if I can relay the message right, the ISP is saying that out of 19 customers we get the best signal of anyone. But, they say that we have 0 downtime, like we are using way more juice than anyone else. I use the internet for my online biz which basically means I am between Ezine Articles site, Wordpress Blogger, using WordPad, using Paint.net. The only thing downloading is webpages, no huge programs etc. I can't understand it and the ISP keeps asking if we have a virus. I have run AVG and TrendMicro(the freebie on their site, housecall)and nothing.

Before I go to all the number input, I will wait and see if anyone comments on what I've written so far.

The ISP says "we are doing the best we can and you are out of luck, sorry".

I was on the phone with them trying to determine what the "slow" problem was and come to find out, I was using Windows Live Messenger and had 4 tabs open at the same time in my Win XP, so, because of that, I had slow internet. I can't us ALL That BIG stuff!! Im disgusted with them and they have zero competition so they don't have to upgrade their services. Also, they said that there were others in the Valley that had stronger equipment/computers/routers and they were getting into CCountry's signal(ccountry is the ISP)and that can't be helped so I just have to shut off the Messenger and can only use one tab at a time.

And this is highspeed wireless, right. Thanks for our reply, like I said, you were right.
