Isolating single instruments in songs?

I would like to know if there's a program that allows you to isolate certain instruments or sounds in a song and extract them. Thanx.

Isolating single instruments in songs?

The only way that would be possible is if the track are recorded separately on the recording. That said, the vast majority aren't recorded in that manner. So I'll say that it's unlikely.

well then how can dj's take a song and edit it and take only certain parts out or certain vocals, etc.? it should be possible to break the song down into smaller elements.

In reply to: djs?

Ask the djs how they do it. If they have a way, tell us what it is.

I assume you know that there are karaoke versions of music around? They are recordings with no vocals.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
