Question

Isn't 48inch TV overkill at 2.7m?

Dec 21, 2014 1:51AM PST

I just bought Samsung UE48H6400 and it's super awesome TV that we are watching now at more than 3m away, but as later we'll need to change room interior and place the TV in other place and the distance will be 2.7m.

Why not put a chair 2.7 meters from the TV & see?

I have a 47" TV and I watch anywhere from 2 to 3 meters away. Anything in that range is fine for me except for football (not soccer) games. With football they've gone to a lot of really wide angle shots that make it hard to see from 3 meters, so I sit closer to 2 to 2.5 meters away. But as Bob says, what do your eyes tell you? Put a chair 2.7 meters from the TV, watch for a while, and see for yourself.
