General discussion

ISIS killing Christian children.

Sep 25, 2014 4:51AM PDT

Received this today;
That "other peaceful" religion at work again.

warning on this one, graphic picture of beheaded little girl. Brought tears and anger to me instantly, being he father of 3. Those who do this are no longer human, but "brute beast" as the bible labels them and says they are marked for slaughter themselves. Also remember the words of Jesus;

"But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

the letter;

Dear All,
I have received these two emails from our missionary friends, one yesterday and one this morning. I just wanted to pass it on so that as many people as possible can pray specifically for our brothers and sisters. Much love and blessings
This is so sad... A friend just got a text message from her brother asking her to shower him and his parish in prayer. He is part of a mission and ISIS has taken over the town they are in today. He said ISIS is systematically going house to house to all the Christians and asking the children to denounce Jesus. He said so far not one child has. And so far all have consequently been killed. But not the parents. The UN has withdrawn and the missionaries are on their own. They are determined to stick it out for the sake of the families - even if it means their own deaths. He is very afraid, has no idea how to even begin ministering to these families who have seen their children martyred. Yet he says he knows God has called him for some reason to be his voice and hands at this place at this time. Even so, he is begging prayers for his courage to live out his vocation in such dire circumstances. And like the children accept martyrdom if he is called to do so. She asked me to ask everyone we know to please pray for them. These brave parents instilled such a fervent faith in their children that they chose martyrdom. Please surround them in their loss with your prayers for hope and perseverance.
She was able to talk to her brother briefly by phone. She didn't say it but I believe she believes it will be their last conversation. Pray for her too. She said he just kept asking her to help him know what to do and do it. She told him to tell the families we ARE praying for them and they are not alone or forgotten -- no matter what. Her e mail broke my heart. Please keep all in your prayers. Thanks
This came this morning... Just a few minutes ago I received the following text message on my phone from Sean Malone who leads Crisis Relief International (CRI). We then spoke briefly on the phone and I assured him that we would share this urgent prayer need with all of our contacts.
"We lost the city of Queragosh (Qaraqosh). It fell to ISIS and they are beheading children systematically. This is the city we have been smuggling food too. ISIS has pushed back Peshmerga (Kurdish forces) and is within 10 minutes of where our CRI team is working. Thousands more fled into the city of Erbil last night. The UN evacuated it's staff in Erbil. Our team is unmoved and will stay. Prayer cover needed!"
Please pray sincerely for the deliverance of the people of Northern Iraq from the terrible advancement of ISIS and its extreme Islamic goals for mass conversion or death for Christians across this region. May I plead with you not to ignore this email.
Do not forward it before you have prayed through it. Then send it to as many people as possible. Send it to friends and Christians you may know. Send it to your prayer group. Send it to your pastor and phone him/her to pray on Sunday during the service - making a special time of prayer for this. We need to stand in the gap for our fellow Christians.
Love, light and blessings

This was 2 days ago. I'm surprised no-one has mentioned it before now.

US launches first Syria air strikes

The US and partner nations began launching air strikes against Islamic State group targets in Syria today for the first time, with a mix of fighter jets, bombers and Tomahawk cruise missiles fired from ships in the region.

The strikes were part of the expanded military campaign President Barack Obama authorised nearly two weeks ago in order to disrupt and destroy the Islamic State (IS) militants, who have slaughtered thousands of people, beheaded Westerners and captured a large swathe of territory stretching from within Syria to land across northern and western Iraq.

http://news.uk.msn.com/world/t-articles?cp-documentid=262065248

Considered unthinkable until now, the US drops bombs in Syria. And what a strange situation. For decades the anti-US regime in Syria has decried and denounced any US involvement in the Middle East. But now, with president Bashar al-Assad's regime seriously under threat by IS, (or ISIS,whatever they wish to call themselves), fundamentalist jihadists, Assad, if not openly welcoming US intervention, is not rejecting it.

"The enemy of my enemy is my friend", often described as an Arabic proverb and quite ironic I feel, (although Wikipedia says there is no evidence of its Arabic origins).

ISIS has been killing a lot of people
Sep 25, 2014 5:22AM PDT

if they are not in sync with their brand of Islam. They have probably killed more Muslims than Christians. Read they were throwing people in pits and burying them alive. Sounds like the Nazis and Communists with the Jews.

I believe more Germans died from Russian communist in WW2 than Jews died. Nobody likes to talk about the German loss of life in those war years.

when they dug up the mass graves, the adults and children were shot but the babies were just thrown in alive.

You're wrong, James, as usual. The German Army and SS
Sep 29, 2014 11:27AM PDT

killed far more Soviet citizens, both soldiers and civilians than the Soviets killed Germans. In excess of 10 Million people is the lowest estimate, it is generally accepted to have been much closer to 20 million. Only 8 million Germans, including soldiers were killed, and many were killed by bombing by the USAAC and the RAF. Hamburg alone accounted for nearly 300,000 in the week it was targetted. 6 million Jews, most of them from outside Germany were killed by Einsatzgruppen, and by local militias enlisted by the Nazis in the Ukraine and the Baltic countries, and in concentration camps. There were Germans killed in Poland, in France, in Yugoslavia, in Greece, and in the Western Desert of North Africa, and then Sicily and all the way up the Italian boot. At least 3.5 million were killed by forces other than the Soviets. Belgians really enjoyed killing German soldiers, so long as they could do it away from populated areas, because of course, Germans really loved wiping out whole villages a practice they had carried over from their behaviour in the First World War.

From the tone of what you say James, you appear to think that the Soviets didn't have the right of self defence.

It's a shame you know so little about the history of the groups whom you invoke so freely, be it the Soviets or the German Nazi Wehrmacht and SS. And as for all that, "We didn't know what was happening" guff. The British had a number (3 at least) of enormous country houses equipped with listening and recording equipment. The Wehrmacht and even Luftwaffe personnel admitted to participating "for fun" in the exterminations. There are 50,000 pages of transcripts of German soldiers talking unguarded to other German soldiers after their interrogations finished. The British, right from the early part of the war (the Battle of Britain), had found the best way to learn information was to release the soldier or airman from his interrogation into a room with 1 or 2 other Germans, to unburden himself, so to speak, of all the things he had been trying to keep from the interrogators. It's part of the reason that German bombing accuracy remained so poor despite some of the best equipment in the world. The British knew in advance about all the radio devices about to be used, before they actually went into use. Of course countermeasures were not always applied correctly, hence Coventry. But the guy who got the tone wrong in the jammers despite having it clearly indicated, found himself guarding an empty building in the winter of 1940 on the Shetland Islands, night after night and was then posted to North Africa where it may have been hot during the day, but it was freezing at night. Serves him right.

death counts military and civilian
Sep 29, 2014 3:01PM PDT

Might subtract about 10 million Ukranians from the Soviet Union side, since they weren't part of it by choice.
They were under subjection and suffered since WW1
Still, seems more Russians died in the war than Germans, unless they counted those of Germanic blood who were living in Soviet Russia at the time as Russians.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Ukraine

"
Nazi Germany with its allies invaded the Soviet Union in 1941. Many Ukrainians initially regarded the Wehrmacht soldiers as liberators from Soviet rule, while others formed a partisan movement. Some elements of the Ukrainian nationalist underground formed a Ukrainian Insurgent Army
that fought both Soviet forces and the Nazi. Others collaborated with
the Germans. In Volhynia, Ukrainian "fighters" committed a massacre
against up to 100,000 Polish civilians.[27] Residual small groups of the UPA-partizans acted near the Polish and Soviet border as long as to the 1950s.[2Cool "

the peaceful ones aren't

Quran (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them" No reasonable person would interpret this to mean a spiritual struggle.

Quran (8:67) - "It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war until he had made a great slaughter in the land..."

Quran (8:59-60) - "And let not those who disbelieve suppose that they can outstrip (Allah's Purpose). Lo! they cannot escape. Make ready for them all thou canst of (armed) force and of horses tethered, that thereby ye may dismay the enemy of Allah and your enemy."

Quran (8:65) - "O Prophet, exhort the believers to fight..."

Quran (9:5) - "So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captive and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them."

Quran (9:29) - "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued."

Quran (9:111) - "Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in truth, through the Law, the Gospel, and the Quran: and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah? then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: that is the achievement supreme."

Quran (17:16) - "And when We wish to destroy a town, We send Our commandment to the people of it who lead easy lives, but they transgress therein; thus the word proves true against it, so We destroy it with utter destruction."

(this above means any city that is doing well and people are at peace, they will invade, kill, and steal, reminds me of this bible verse which describes their Allah (Satan) and his prophet. John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. John 10: 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. I Peter 5: Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.

Quran (33:60-62) - "If the hypocrites, and those in whose hearts is a disease, and the alarmists in the city do not cease, We verily shall urge thee on against them, then they will be your neighbors in it but a little while. Accursed, they will be seized wherever found and slain with a (fierce) slaughter."

Quran (48:29) - "Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. And those with him are hard (ruthless) against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves"

There can be no doubt of who inspired Mohammed and who continues to inspire his followers. It is Satan.
