If you sit this on a desktop and don't carry it around I give it 2+ years before it might need service. It will still need you giving the vents a shot of canned air every 3 to 6 months just to be sure.
This is not a laptop for students that carry it around. We've discussed this in prior posts.
If you want to get a laptop, pull back to the i5 with SWITCHABLE GRAPHICS and 16 or less inches on the display.
Okay,so it's been a major headache trying to look for a laptop that will take care of my needs *without* breaking the bank.
*Looks at Apple and Alienware >_>*
I wish to study Graphic Design(or a similar field) in the near future so I need a laptop that will allow me to seriously multitask whether it's the internet, photoshop, music, movies, etc.
Blu-ray is nice but not necessary.
I need plenty of space and memory as well as a great processor that will enable me to do all of that. I won't be taking my laptop around much so weight and fair battery is not really an issue.I want a crisp fairly big(15+)HD screen and for the laptop to have a keyboard backlight if possible.
I'm a casual gamer as well so will this be a great choice???
With regular use,how long will this laptop last?
I've also considered Sony and Toshiba but Asus seems to be of great quality too. I do NOT want a Dell again(bad experience) and I'm kind of wary of HP. Great customer service is a must have too..
Any great advice is appreciated!!
