1. Extra info: The wifi card is strongly NEEDED! as it is impossible to connect to my router as it is a floor difference.
2. (Playing resolution will be 1920x1080p)
3. I know its a bit overkill but I want to be able to max out games for a while

1. My bet is you'll complain of wifi issues.

There are other ways to get a wired connection from powerline networking to relocating the router. Gamers complain all the time on WiFi.

2. 1080 is now a sweet spot. Fine.
3. No, it's not overkill.

plan to back what up? cost isn't much of an issue as long as I keep it under 1.3k (under 1.2k preferred)

on the HDD and reloading all the SW isn't too much of a problem, then backup may not be worth it to you.

Finding all the discs, the registration codes and reloading and running all the updates would probably take me days. But fortunately all my HDDs are imaged and full restoration including swapping the disc(s) would only take an hour or so I do the backups. Much easier and faster to get me back up and running.
