Question

Is there software to clone picture to pictuire, Windows 7?

Mar 23, 2012 10:29AM PDT

I had Ulead Photoimpact 4.2 and could open 2 images at the same time, then clone image from one picture to the other. Windows 7 won't load 32 bit programs. Is there windows 7 compatible software that will do picture to picture cloning?

You sure?

I have a number of 32 bit applications on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit OS. I don't have any problems.

What is the exact error message? And have you tried the Windows 7 Compatibility Wizard?

Type Compatibility into the Start Menu search box and click the first, (only for me), entry in the list.

I went through the compatibility process and got "INCOMPATIBLE APPLICATION" as an answer. It was worth the try though.

Yep

I see from http://download.cnet.com/PhotoImpact/3000-2192_4-895707.html that this software was first released in 1998 and from one of the comments, that Windows 7 is not supported.

Looking at your first post again I am not at all sure what you mean by cloning an image from one picture to another, as a clone is just an exact copy, and if I want an exact copy of an image I create a copy.

So can you tell us more?

In the meantime, we often recommend the free image editor Irfanview from http://www.irfanview.com/

It is fully compatible with Windows 7 and has many features. Perhaps it will do what you wish.

cloning picture to picture

In ulead photoimpact I could open two pictures at the same time with the program. Then I could select a section of picture #2 and clone it to picture #1. I could also change the shape of the cloning tool and could carry image from one to the other, then resize it.

Ulead

Ulead has produced lots of very good photography software.

A couple of years ago they were purchased by Corel.

You might try the Corel website and see if you can find any updates.
