Question

Is there help from Samsung on white dots for 67" TV?

by castdluna / September 17, 2011 6:33 AM PDT

My HL67A510J1FXZA started getting the white dots probably after a year we purchased it (2009) but I did not pay much attention to it until now that it is unwatchable. I emailed Samsung already but they replied that if after troubleshooting it the problem was still there I would have to get it repaired on my own. It is a shame to have such a good size TV just occupying space in our living room or giving us headaches when on. Is there a (not expensive) part we can replace to fix the problem?

Clarification Request
It's unclear to me.

There have been offers to correct the white dot issue and a few folk would not accept the free repair because this offer only extended to a specific issue. It sounds to me that you declined this. I could be wrong and hope you accept the offer.

I have not had any offer as of yet on this issue. Do you know who has made the offer and what is the specific issue. Thanks for the reply.

Bob, what is this offer about? I would like to have it repaired since it is a large piece of equipment and the only issue are the white dots. Thanks again for your help.

I am having the white dot trouble on my samsung dlp as well. Over the past two weeks, it has grown from one dot to i would have to guess at least 100. The rep said I would have to pay for this repair and was on my own.

I have been given a ticket number of 2109171826.

Is there any chance that you can help me? After browsing this forum it sounds like you are a person that can get things accomplished and provide great customer service. I spent a ton of money on the tv and this is not a wear and tear issue.

Thank you so very much.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
