Is there a way to see the increase my readyboost gives me?

I just bought a 4gb PNY Flash drive.

See it how? All readyboost does is cache data onto a flash drive. It's really just a stopgap solution to a problem of a system with insufficient amounts of RAM. You shouldn't look at it as a permanent solution, since readyboost will chew up the write cycles on a flash drive in a hurry.

That's the bottom line...

After you exceed 1GB the noticeable improvement drops dramatically, and even the team at Microsoft that developed ReadyBoost acknowledged that those with 4GB of RAM do not need it and, if they use it, will likely not see much, if any, benefit.
