Resolved Question

Is there a way to make an old pc connect to wireless network

Jul 14, 2017 9:34AM PDT

So I bought this old pc off gumtree. It's a Dell Vostro 410. It's currently on windows vista and I can't get it to detect to any wireless wifi! I thought that it was old and it couldn't detect wireless wifi and if that's the case, how do I get it to detect wireless wifi? Is there anything I could do to fix this problem???

Also how far is it to the router and are the antennas installed on the WiFI card?

get a USB wifi device and plug it in. I suggest Panda since it works in both Windows and Linux, but check the site to be sure it's the correct model. If you want something that will do both systems, but longer range, find WinnerEco dual antenna at Amazon. I can get 50 Mbps at 100 feet with it.
