Question

is there a way to make an android phone modem?

May 6, 2019 11:17AM PDT

so, i have a router to connect the devices at my house, but no internet connection, but from what i know(im not that good with this stuff) my phone DOES have connection to worldwide internet, but it's ran out of the data plan, still, from what i know it HAS connection, now what im asking is if there's a way to connect those two to have a working connection(doesnt have to be that strong) to worldwide network until i have a proper modem again, this is only temporary.

Sorry but I've got to hear how you get data over cellular with no data left on the plan.

unlimited data

i now have unlimited data but its much slower then when my data plan is full, but i still have internet connnection,(from what i know thats connection to world wide and that i can withdraw limited amount of data in high speed) so, if i have internet connection, and a router, can i not just somehow connect these two to make working wi fi?im really sorry if this is foggy, i dont know much about this stuff for me its all theoretical

Most phones allow them to be a WiFi hotspot.

That's the usual way. Why complicate this with a WiFi to Ethernet adapter or tethering to a PC to convert tethering to share that connection?

Again, both are fairly technical and if you can't do these with the replies so far I have to write your best move is to use that phones hotspot feature.

i know i can do tethering, thats not what i meant, i meant how do i use the internet connection left, but with NO DATA to connect the router to worldwide internet, my data is now unlimited but its much slower, thats the plan i have.

Internet = data, so NO DATA via plan means NO INTERNET via plan, and slow data via plan means slow internet.

You'll have to find a free WiFi hotspot or with a friend/family/work/school or such, if you want it free and faster.
