General discussion

Is there a way to add this forum to "My Yahoo" page?

Jul 7, 2005 10:59PM PDT

I have a customized "My Yahoo" page and I'd like to track the posts of this board there instead of email...

I've searched and it looks like there are yahoo links for "CNet Reviews" and stuff but not for the forums.

Can somebody send me in the right direction.

TIA
Phil

Do you mean

you want any email notifications of your "Tracked" discussions to be sent to your My Yahoo web page?

I don't know what a My Yahoo web page is, but if you have an email address associated with this web page, then you would have to change your email address here in these forums.

Goto the Edit Profile link on the left and find and click the Update Email Address under the main heading.

That would be the only way I know to send reply notifications to a different email address.

Unfortunately, this is not yet possible using My Yahoo...I've searched before. Wink At this time, you can only have My Yahoo provide updated news and blogs in general. Their technology doesn't allow you, for the most part, to track anything related to a username or account which you have with a third-party, such as Cnet. (You can't even track packages from UPS or Fedex automatically...you have to type in the tracking number each time.) Thus, monitoring updates to threads you're active in directly from your My Yahoo page is not an option.

However, Yahoo does have plans to enhance the My Yahoo page, so that this ability becomes possible. Unfortunately, this may be a while, as their current focus is redesigning Yahoo Mail in order to compete with Gmail from Google. For now, you'll have to keep checking your inbox for updated tracking information.

Hope this helps,
John

P.S. In the future make sure what forum you are in prior to posting...looks like you hit ''Microsoft Office'' by mistake.
