Is there a way to access my hotmail through gmail?

by revdrdrp / September 15, 2006 8:56 AM PDT

I have a new gmail account, and have opted out of windows live beta. Now I can't seem to access my hotmail messages - can't even access hotmail though other passport sites have me logged in.

Can anybody tell me if/how I can access my hotmail mail through gmail?

can anybody tell me how to restore my access to hotmail?

I'm updated on Windows XP, antivirus & malware protection, & using the latest Firefox.

First try accessing

your hotmail account using Internet Explorer. If that works then

with Mozilla Firefox, if you are using the extention NoScript, tell it to allow and

Then try logging in to your hotmail account and it should work.

Hope this helps.

I would only use the hotmail account for my junk mail and MSN Messenger. I'd use the gmail account for my personal use.

Try it on another computer (work, school, friends), if it doesn't work in IE either (a good suggestion by PudgyOne).

If it doesn't work elsewhere it's a problem with hotmail. You'd better contact their helpdesk then.

If it does work elsewhere (unlikely, in my opinion), it's a problem with you. Then post again and tell exactly what happens, including the exact error messages in both Firefox and IE.

There's no way to access hotmail through gmail. However, you might be able to tell hotmail to automatically forward new messages to your gmail-account (sorry, I don't know if hotmail has such a feature, but it's rather normal with other email providers). Take care your hotmail account isn't close after you didn't login 30 days or so.

Hope this helps.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
