General discussion

Is there a site you can send possible spam to?

Jun 25, 2007 3:09AM PDT

I usually delete e-mails if I don't know the sender, but I must be losing some legitimate messages. For example, I got one from kissonapostcard.com today. Can I forward that to some site that will tell me if it's spam or harmless? I'd like to get the kiss if it's real - but I don't want the kiss of death for my computer. Thanks, Haleyes@gforcecable.com

Well...

The basic answer is no... And now you're likely to get even more spam, because you put your email address into a post on a public forum.

So, maybe the first thing you should do, is go about learning some of the more common methods for not getting so much spam.

I would agree but...

I also got one of these emails from kissesonapostcard.com. I'm NOT worried about spam, but I am worried about opening something like this and thus giving some East European access to my computer files. With a firewall and a virus checker, is there much worry in "going" there?
