Question

Is there a simple way to send wifi to our park

by Sum_ID / January 26, 2014 2:28 PM PST

I live in a cooperative community, and am on the Board of Directors. In the center of our property is our main office, and park. Some members have asked if we could provide wifi for the park area. In researching this on the internet I find a lot of long range wifi routers, antennaes, bridges, etcetera - hard to know what's what to those who are less than experts in this area.

I want to gather suggestions and prices for the board to look over - any suggestions from you pros?

I would estimate the park runs about 150 feet behind the office, and is about the same in width. There are buildings with townhouses on 3 sides and the office on the 4th.

Right now with the standard comcast wifi in our office, if you sit just outside the building at a picnic table you can use the wifi signal. People would like to be able to sit at the other end (by our swings and sand volleyball court) and use it as well.

Thanks for any info or suggestions you give.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
